The Difference Between ABS Plastic And PLA Plastic And PLA Cup Wholesale
- Nov 27, 2018 -

ABS plastic is opaque and light ivory, it is non-toxic and tasteless to use, and its flame is yellow when burned. The comprehensive properties of ABS plastics are very good, with excellent electrical properties, chemical resistance, wear resistance and so on.

PLA plastic is a new type of biodegradable material made from starch raw materials proposed by renewable plant resources. Moreover, due to its good physical properties and mechanical properties, PLA plastics are very convenient to process and are also widely used in applications. In addition to the basic characteristics of biodegradable plastics, PLA has its own unique characteristics. The basic physical properties of general PLA plastics and petrochemical synthetic plastics are very similar, so it can be used to make a variety of products.

PLA has good transparency and gloss, and its properties are not available in other products. Not only that, PLA also has the best ductility and tensile strength, so PLA can also be produced using a variety of common processing methods.

Since ABS is an amorphous and PLA is a crystal, when you heat ABS plastic, it slowly transforms into a liquid. The difference with PLA is that it evolves directly from solid to liquid like frozen water. Therefore, because there is no phase change, ABS will not absorb the thermal energy of the nozzle, and part of the PLA will increase the risk of nozzle clogging.

Moreover, when judging the materials of ABS and PLA, it is generally difficult to judge from the surface. Compared with PLA, ABS is a matt color, while PLA is very bright. Usually when used, when heated to 195 degrees, ABS can not be smoothly extruded, and PLA can be smoothly extruded. When the temperature is heated to 220 degrees, ABS can be smoothly extruded, while PLA will appear as bubbles, and even PLA may be carbonized, which will block the use of the nozzle.
