RIA news 7, Russia, Russia's natural resources minister dmitry kobilkin said the country is ready to ban the sale of disposable plastic tableware.
The minister said: Russia is committed to working with other countries to reduce environmental pollution and follow the global trend of reducing the use of plastics, which is supported by many domestic retail chains.
In December the all-russian people's front proposed restrictions on the production and import of single-use plastic products.
In march, Russian prime minister dmitry medvedev also raised the issue of legislation banning the sale of disposable plastic tableware.
Another report: the European Union will ban the sale of disposable plastic tableware from 2021.
