Nov 29, 2018Leave a message

On November 23rd, Canadian Federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna held a conference call with Canadian provincial environmental directors. The focus of the conference was plastics. The Canadian provincial environmental directors agreed to produce Canada in 2040. Halve the garbage.

By 2030, the Canadian waste program will be reduced by 30%, and by 2040, the waste program will be reduced by 50%. To further curb plastic waste pollution, the Canadian federal and provincial governments have agreed to launch a long-term policy that will make Canada completely free of plastic waste.

The current national plastics policy is still under study, but the provincial environmental directors agree that all plastic products sold in Canada need to be more easily recycled, and the Canadian government will introduce a production responsibility system to ensure the sale of plastic packaging products. The company shoulders its due responsibility for the plastic cycle.
